Violation of legislation on observance of copyright and related rights

In 2010, by comission of «Art-Festival» agency [1] and the administration of St. Petersburg, Maxim Karpets wrote musical scores for the Official Opening Ceremony, announced by UNESCO, of the Year of the Teacher, which took place in the "Oktyabrsky" Great Concert Hall, St.Petersburg, Russia, under the patronage of the governor of the city Valentina Ivanovna Matvienko. The show was attended by Iosif Kobzon, Valeria, Oleg Gazmanov, Vlad Piekha and others. [2] The title song from this show "Hymn to the Teacher" on the verses of Sergei Danilov [3] was spread in Russia and the CIS countries in millions of copies [see. photo below], for the most part, in violation of copyright and related rights.
